My daughter who was born with a congenital heart defect. She has just recently had her second open heart surgery and is recovering amazingly well.

Spending time with my family and watching my girls compete in competitive cheer. I also enjoy relaxing on the beach.

I always knew I wanted to have a career working with children. I almost became a teach but chose nursing as a career. I felt it gave me a variety of options to work with children.

I enjoy teaching and this includes my patients, families, colleagues and nursing students. This requires that I listen to patients and their families to understand their needs and develop a treatment plan. I want to ensure that patients and their families understand their diagnosis and treatment options and plan.,

I have worked with children with chronic diseases and special needs, I have experience with children with tracheostomies, feeding tubes, and pediatric feeding disorders.
