What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
My favorite animated movie is Inside Out.
What is your favorite children's book?
Guess How Much I Love You?
Both of my children loved this one - and we expanded "all the way to the moon & back" to "all the way to Jupiter and back."
What was your favorite childhood toy?
My dollhouse. I spent many hours building furniture and decorating it.
Who is your greatest inspiration?
Dr Martin Luther King. His actions and writings continue to inspire and encourage me.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I enjoy gardening, biking on Pennsylvania's wonderful bike trails, knitting, and listening to audiobooks.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
I just love spending time with kids, and am passionate about helping each child I encounter to be their healthiest best self.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
I have spent decades now working with the American Academy of Pediatrics, advocating for the needs of children who have been adopted or are in foster or kinship care. I have had the privilege of working with families formed through foster care, kinship care, and adoption, and I love seeing them thrive.
How do you accommodate patients with special needs?
Our office is fully accessible, and we have many supports in our offices to help families navigate the unique needs that they and their children face.
