Many of our providers have experience managing anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral health concerns, as well as additional training. We also have the ability to consult with Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh TiPS program psychiatrists for support in managing medication treatments.
Our providers are trained to screen for behavioral health concerns
Behavioral health screenings are an important part of every well visit from preadolescence through the preteen and teen years. These screenings are integrated into routine check-ups at an early age to identify potential issues like anxiety, depression, and substance use as soon as possible.
During the visit, your Kids Plus provider will observe your child’s behavior, including eye contact and body language. They will also ask carefully crafted open-ended questions that help us assess your child’s well-being, while giving you a forum to discuss any concerns. We’re here to listen.
